After morning pickup at your Barcelona accommodation, travel with your guide to reach the colorful city of Girona. During the drive, learn about Girona’s long and rich history, from its ancient Roman roots through a thriving medieval era and evolution into a hip, modern Spanish city.

When you arrive, explore Old Town on a walking tour that takes you past landmarks like the Girona Cathedral and an iron bridge designed by famous French engineer Gustave Eiffel. Get a sense of life in medieval Spain while wandering through the city’s labyrinthine Jewish quarter, and rest your feet over a cup of coffee in a charming Old Town cafe.

Continue on to the small town of Figueres, located near the French border. Best known as the birthplace of surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, Figueres honors the legacy of its famous former resident with the Dalí Museum—designed by the artist himself and considered the world’s largest surrealist object. Explore Dalí’s life and work through the museum’s collection of his dimension-bending paintings and other original artifacts (entrance fee not included).

Relax on the return drive through the countryside to Barcelona, where the tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point in the evening.

A great tour while it lasted

Arnau was a fantastic guide - thoughtful and helpful in every way. Unfortunately this was the day Spain started closing down due to covid. Our guide had checked on the sites in the morning and everything was open, but as the day went on things closed, so we were not able to enter any sites in Girona, and then he found out that the Dali museum had closed. He offered several alternate ideas for the afternoon, but as one family on our tour had received news of their home borders closing they were rather frantically trying to book tickets home, and as a group we opted to go back so they could make their arrangements. Would have definitely been 5 stars had circumstances been different, so I am giving it that. Thanks Arnau - we'll have to come back.

We loved visiting Girona and the Game of Thrones locations. Our guide Ruben was very patient and knowledgeable. The Dali Museum was ok, we had greater expectations. I guess all the best work is spread throughout the world.

The Dali Museum was the highlight of our trip to Spain, hands down! It was unique and Dali's genius and incredible curatorship of the Museum will stay with me for a long time. Thanks to Vincente's knowledge and guidance of Dali's vision as we make our way to the Museum. He was very passionate about Dali's life and work and it shows in his delivery. This is a tour of a lifetime and Vincente had a big contribution to it. Take the tour and you won't regret it!!!

Great day with Arnaud in Girona and Figueres!

We had a wonderful day visiting Griona and the Dali Museum with Arnaud (Arnold). It was so convenient being picked up at our hotel where we joined 4 other people for our semi-private tour. The drive was great as Arnaud told us about the history and what we would be seeing. First was Girona where we learned about medieval times and viewed the beautiful area, including the churches. We had plenty of free time to have lunch and look around on our own before heading to Figueres. Here we heard all about the life and times of Salvador Dali. Arnaud's enthusiasm for all things Dali made the tour even more enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable and the museum was amazing. I highly recommend this tour and recommending Arnaud. My 17 and 30 year old loved the day and also said Arnaud made it even better.

We came back to Barcelona specifically for this Girona and Dali Museum Tour. The first tour was cancelled due to the storm Gloria that hit Spain recently. This tour yesterday did not disappoint! It exceeded our expectations mainly because of our tour guide, Oriol. He is very knowledgeable of the towns of Girona & Figueres and of Salvador Dali as a man and an artist. Oriol was punctual, patient and engaged. It is clear that he enjoys sharing his knowledge of Catalan and world history with his group. This tour is highly recommended. Ask for Oriol as your guide if you can.

A wonderful tour of Girona and Figueres

An excellent tour on a beautiful day. Our guide was Arnau who was very knowledgeable not only about Girona, but about Dali as well. He was informative and had a great sense of humor. He looked after us and made sure we were comfortable. He was great with directions and constantly checked in with us. At the Dali museum, I felt like I was taking a college class in Dali. Arnau just didn't give us a "schpeel" on Dali, he dove right into the artwork and the man himself. Should you decide to take this tour, be sure to ask for Arnau. ¡EL MEJOR!

The Travel Agency who worked with us called "In and Out Barcelona'. Our guide's name was Oriol. He sent me a text message 24 hours before the tour and confirmed our pick up time next morning. He arrived to our location promptly. He was very polite, knowledgeable about the history, culture, geography and art of Catalonia. He was very patient, helpful and considerate of my mom. She walks with a walker. We were fortunate that he was our guide. It was very interesting and educational tour for us.

Informational, Relaxing and Fun Tour. Great Value!

I couldn't if I tried find anything objectionable to say negative in review of our tour or guide for this tour. From start to finish a seamless organization of progress was made successfully that culminated in a very, very fun, informational and valuable experience. Our guide Ruben, used his very engaging and entertaining personality, coupled with his sensitivity in making our satisfaction completely his personal responsibility. This company really has this market owned. I highly recommend them to anyone that doesn't want to worry about wasting their time or money on other's horror-stories from past tour company experiences. Using Viator, "In-Out Tour" to Girona & Figueres will NOT disappoint even a discriminating world traveler.

Vincente was an excellent guide. He spent a good deal of time with us explaining the history and architecture of Girona. However, his assistance at the Dali museum was essential. Without his explanations—- starting outside the museum —- we would have missed over 75% of Dali’s vision. We cannot recommend him or the tour highly enough.
