Apsara Dinner Cruise by Banyan Tree

While we were at first disappointed not to be on the Apsara cruise - the old rice barge is being refurbished - we instead were put on the new Saffron dinner cruise, and it was delightful. The views of colorful river traffic and the powerful site of the Wats and Palace all lit up at night were stunning, but truly the really star of the show for us was the meal. Five star all the way, with exceptional personal service, lovely orchids and lotus flowers on the table - even an orchid for behind my ear - and many amazing courses served with style. You had a tasting bit of everything in several courses - each delightful in its own way. There were also two brief flower shows of two dancers in traditional styles that added to the atmosphere, and they allowed pictures with them if you liked. While the open top of the boat had a par and modern dance music spun by a DJ, the downstairs was another world, quiet and very romantic, and the perfect way to end our month in Thailand.

Outstanding! Gourmet food, impeccable service. If you want to party hard, dance & drink, then cruise with a party boat. If you want an exceptional evening, book with Apsara.

Awesome introduction to Bangkok with this dinner cruise. The food was inspiring and the flavors were not the ones we normally eat in restaurants. The views were breathtaking and the time we spent at the lit up Wat Arun was the highlight of the trip! At the end of the cruise when the lights dimmed and a dessert was brought out with candles and the crew & other guests sang Happy Birthday to my mother, she was totally surprised and embarrassed (but privately thrilled :)) with gesture. Thanks for making my mother's 70th birthday so special.

We thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing river cruise. The food and service was excellent and the view of the various temples at night was spectacular. It was a great way to finish our trip to Bangkok and we completely recommend it.

Had a nice time on this cruise. You are asked to preorder drinks before boarding, we ordered a standard bottle of white wine which after tax and service charge was 3000baht(£78). I left a comment on the review card that was given at the end of the meal, saying that the drinks were expensive and they took 20% off the bill. It seemed to be lacking something, there wasn't much atmosphere. Too much time was spent stopping and taking complimentary photos at Wat Arum

We had a really lovely experience on this cruise - would definitely recommend. Be warned though- the drinks are very expensive - we ordered a bottle of house white wine only to be hit with a bill at the end which cost us £30!!! Steep !

My husband and I traveled on this dinner cruise in November, 2018. The cruise was very relaxing and interesting in a renovated rice barge. The service and food were wonderful. Bangkok has many lights at night and this cruise is a great way of seeing them.

This is a really nice way to see the city illuminated at night time. The food was fantastic and although there were plenty of other cruises to choose from was really glad I went for this for a romantic evening with my partner.

Better than the other river cruises;Not crowded and blaring terrible renditions of pop songs.Its very romantic,the food is incredible and the staff are good.I did have one gripe;given the price paid for the experience I would not expect to be charged a service fee for drinks; quite disappointing!

This was a nice way to see some of the sites lit up at night from the river.
