The tour was amazing. A lot of knowledge and great stops along the way. The 5 wards was really cool, I knew the schools were close but not that close! The stories behind the murals, all the locations and the black owned business. I’d highly recommend!

Something to Do in Atlanta

I was in Atlanta for a day and we took the Black History and civil rights tour on 5/13/2022. It was a great experience. First time In Atlanta so this was a good way to see the city. I have nothing bad to say about the tour. Our tour guide Omar was great and very knowledgeable about the city. He made me feel extra-special because I was celebrating my birthday. Got to see some very amazing sights. I only wish we could have gone into Tyler Perry studio. Time would not allow because we got there before 5. I would highly recommend taking this tour with this company.

Visiting the MLKingJr center , especially seeing the tomb stines of Dr. King and his wife. Seeing the various neighborhoods and the black art; and seeing all the black colleges. You hear so much about Moorehouse and Spellman, it was great to finally see them. The Tyler Perry Estate was impressive to see.

I enjoyed the tour with a very nice group of people and had lot's of fun. I also saw a big part of Atlanta from inside the van. There was no much information given on historical and cultural background - it is assumed that participants already have that. Overall a fun experience and very nice guide.

Our guide Omar brought Black History to life with his enthusiasm, energy, passion and meticulously researched knowledge of the civil rights movement. He skillfully wove the story of the past and how it shaped Atlanta's culture, environment, and economy. His pride in African American excellence, leadership, innovation and progress was infectious. It was informative and entertaining to learn from him. Even as a local, this tour had been a revelation and I cannot give Omar enough credit for his careful service, unflappable energy and excellent driving. Many thanks!
