Private Family Tour of Aruba

There isn't that much to see in Aruba. The lighthouse, a hill, some resort areas, the closed refinery area, the shopping area. Most of the island is scrub brush and beaches. Beautiful beaches. And the resorts look very nice. But a full island tour probably isn't worth it. Not the tour operator's fault. They only have so much to show.

We had an enjoyable day with Edwin Pena! He took us many places we had not seen in our prior 4 trips to Aruba. He was friendly, attentive, and a lovely gentleman! We will definitely book again and request Edwin!!! We pointed out sites on a map that we wanted to see and he filled in the gaps with some amazing local stops!!

Awesome tour loved our guide. Showed us all over the island. Stopped to pick us local fruits to try and flowers to smell! Could not have asked for a better tour!! Highly recommend

We certainly did appreciate the timely arrival of the van and guide who met us at our cruise ship pier in Aruba. The guide was good and very kind. We would encourage everyone to consider using this type of booking in lieu of the cruise ship tours.

Amazing. He was a very knowlegable guide in both the history and the flora/fauna of the island He was very personable and clearly loves Aruba!

We all enjoyed out Tour of the Island. Leo was our guide. He was great!! He even took us to a local restaurant for lunch. We loved the food! Would recommend this tour

Leo was our driver and was wonderful. He showed us all the local sites, told us a lot of history and went out of his way to do the little extras that make any trip exceptional. Aruba is beautiful and Leo was an excellent guide to see the beautiful island.

We did this excursion in January. Our van driver/guide was Amin. He was knowledgeable of the sites we went to. We were late to our a pointed tour time due to the following. Aruba is an hour ahead of EST Miami time. Our ship Carnival stays on the time of the port they depart from. We scheduled it an hour after the time we were given that the ship was docking so we would not be rushed but due to the time difference it needed to be another hour. AGW Tours was gracious with us and got us off with a brief delay. We came a half an hour earlier than the start of the arranged tour we thought. AGW Tours thought we missed our tour. This got us off to a late start because Armin needed to be back at a set time for his next tour, but he did not rush us. We did not realize it till the last hour of the tour. So after we saw all the beautiful sites of Aruba, Armin asked what beach did we want to go to. Note all of the swimming beaches are on the western part of island. He dropped us off at the beach of our choice and then gave us instructions on how to get picked up by another driver of AGW Tours at a certain time. The connection worked out. The new driver confirmed that we were with Amin when he picked us up. The beaches are beautiful but with limited shade. Not many palms on the beaches. It is mainly man made shade. It was very hot by the afternoon. I sat in the shade and could feel the heat coming off of the sand. The new driver took us right back to the ship's pier. We still had time to go shopping at the stores right across from the pier-I love Aruba. A good store for local souvenirs. This was a full tour. If we go back to Aruba, I would consider doing this tour again. We had four people in our party and this was our first trip to Aruba. It was a good over view of the island for a days visit. Was very disappointed with this trip and believe it was the worst excursion on any of my six cruises.. We were scheduled for a half-day excursion, but stopped the tour after two hours.The primary reason for the bad experience was the difficulty of the tour guide speaking or understanding English. We would ask questions and most of the time he could not understand what we said. I was the group contact and completely stopped asking questions only 30 minutes into the tour. Also our guide, at best, spoke broken English. Regarding the tour itself, we were very disappointed the guide was pointing out places in broken English like this is a gas station-Citgo this is a school this is a mango tree this is a Chinese restaurant, and so on, and so on. Don't know if these are truly Aruba highlights, and if so we have no interest in going back, and paying our hard earned money for this trip. We are all retirees, living on a fixed income and this was a complete waste of our money.

Had a wonderful tour with Amin. Was easy to find after getting off cruise ship. Originally we were going to be in an air conditioned vehicle but for a small surcharge we upgraded to an off road open air vehicle so we could go to some extra areas on north side. He took us to many spots but always asked and gave us choices of what we wanted to see. At end of tour, dropped us off at Palm beach and was back to pick us up 2 and 1/2 hours later to take us back to the ship. There were 4 of us and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day in Aruba!
