Don’t waste your money

Terrible tour, small beach and not sand inside, fully stones. Food chicken legs and pork ribs. Drinks very badd, the alcohol like Vodka, Rum and Whisky are dispersed by draft very poor quality. I waste my time, my money and The Viator Company is an scammer. Advisor”Never use The Viator website. Worst experience

Nice and clean. Very knowledge staff. Plenty of fresh food and drinks. Lots of shade, and cover. Huts for rents for 4-8 people if needed. Very short boat ride from the pier.

We were a party of six, all went well, everything went on time as was a promesed Buffet for breakfast and lunch were adequate. Rented a cabana and wonderful.
Bought full day, could have done half day.

Arranged our excursion through Viator online. Received a confirmation with code via email and printed it out. On that receipt I read that it had to be taken to a specific hotel to be redeemed for a bus ticket. That involved us having to take two different shuttles from the Divi Resort we stayed at to a different hotel. It said to do it 48 hours before, but we only arrived to the island one day before and they didn't say anything about it. As we had excursions booked every day, we had to rush to do this in the one hour we had in the morning before our ride came, then rush to get back to our hotel for pickup. Luckily the exchange agent told me that the bus would be arriving 40 minutes earlier than the time listed on the receipt as the departure time. On day of, the bus arrived at that earlier time. It was a coach type bus. Just be aware that there might be time needed to do an exchange to get on that bus. The drive over to the ferry port was fairly short. Ferry to island was quick and we arrived just as island was opening so getting a seat was pretty easy. Not too crowded the day we were there. There were many chairs, most in shade, some even with cup holders and electric plugs. There are lockers available, but we left our stuff at our chairs with no problem Island includes separate areas for beach, snorkeling, banana boats, waterpark, airjumps and restaurant. Also has a separate beach where the flamingos hang out but that is additional charge. Being over 50, we did not use some of the amenities. The beach was clear and sandy, but there are painful rocks to step over to get to the sandy area. Wear water shoes, sandals or be prepared. Not too deep even at the rope barriers. Snorkelling items are supplied, area for snorkelling is not too deep, but included plenty of colorful fish. You can return to the area as many times as you like during the day. Food at buffet was medium good, with a fair variety. Burgers/hot dogs also available. Unlimited drinks are included. Banana boat ride was fun, but anyone with a bad back should avoid it, very bouncy. We probably could have been happy with a half day pass, but spent the extra time just lounging. The longer day would be best for those with active kids who want to use the waterpark or airjumps. We did see several little ones sleeping on the lounge chairs later in the day as they got worn out. Arrived home about 5:30pm. Bus ride back was fine. There was no kind of narration involved in this tour

We went to De Palm island and had a great, fun day. Beautiful beach, great food, fun activities and super friendly people. And, I must say the snorkeling exceeded any expectations that I had. Sooooo many fish and so very close. I literally snorkeled for hours as it was that good. Great family destination.
Fun time

We started off with buffet breakfast, followed by couples massage while we waited to do the sea trek. What an amazing underwater experience. We all had a fun relaxing day on the island
Fun in the sun!

The island is small, but did not feel crowded. There are private cabana areas and lots of area to lay around. There are a mixture of free and paid activities for both kids and adults.
Relaxing in Aruba

Found De Palm Island outing to be relaxing. While there are several activities for children I found adults could participate in a variety of activities, some which did include an additional cost which I had been advised of ahead of time. Appreciated the variety of choices for both breakfast and lunch. Given the location of the island I was glad to see hotel pick-up/drop-off were included. Returned to my hotel feeling very relaxed!
Family Fun - Not Solo Adult Traveler
, Jun 2018
I am a solo female traveler in my late 20’s and this island is designed around family fun. Water parks, open bar & grill, banana boat rides, and zip lining. All sound fun, but for a solo traveler surrounded by children? I found myself already having paid for the full day and I left on the first ferry off the island. I should probably also include that I live a couple hours drive from the Wisconsin Dells (“Waterpark Capital if the World”) so my standards for a place like that are quite high. I don’t doubt this is great for families with small children, but it definitely wasn’t for me. It got 2 stars because I absolutely loved the SNUBA experience. Great snorkeling, but worth the price to be transported out there? Absolutely not.

Lovely place and the food is plentiful and great. Wish I could have done Snuba but I have asthma and they won't allow it because compressed air is no good for you. The island is perfect for young kids and people who want to relax. The snorkeling is beautiful and the beach is calm. wear beach shoes because it is rocky in several places. I can't wait to go back. It is well worth the price.
