With so much to see and do in Provence, it’s impossible to cram it all into one day. This full-day tour from Arles cherry-picks the highlights, making it ideal for first-time visitors or those short on time. Marvel at the ancient ruins of the Pont du Gard; tour the Lavender Museum; and visit the Provencal villages of Les Baux de Provence, Roussillon, and Gordes.
  • Visit the UNESCO-listed Pont du Gard and the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence
  • Explore the picturesque hilltop villages of Roussillon and Gordes
  • Tour the Lavender Museum and stop to take photos of Provence’s lavender fields (summer season only)
  • Small-group tour limited to 15 people ensures a personalized experience
Meet your guide and small group of up to 15 people in central Arles in time for an 8.30am departure. Traveling aboard an air-conditioned minivan, soak up the scenery on the around 45-minute journey to the first stop – the UNESCO-listed Pont du Gard, a remarkably preserved Roman aqueduct dating back to the 1st century AD.

Arrive in the hilltop village of Les Baux de Provence in time for lunch (own expense) and enjoy free time to explore the historic center, where highlights include the Museum of Santons, the 16th-century Hôtel des Porcelets, and the Romanesque style St Vincent Church.

After lunch, stop to admire the striking red and yellow ochre cliffs of Roussillon, then visit Gordes, a picturesque stone village perched on a hilltop in the Luberon region.

Finally, learn the secrets of Provence’s most famous export at the Lavender Museum (Sept-mid-June) or enjoy a photo stop at Senanque Abbey, renowned for its stunning landscape of blooming lavender fields (mid-June-August only).

After a full day taking in the highlights of Provence, return to Arles where your tour ends back at the departure point around 6.30pm.
