Great experience

My sister and I were the only 2 guests on a tour with Esther our guide. She was excellent and her enthusiasm and pride in the windmills and her local area enhanced our experience. We had a fantastic trip and would recommend the experience to anyone interested in Dutch history and culture. Thank you Esther.

I loved this short trip from Amsterdam. An absolutely beautiful village with working windmills, lush gardens and delicious chocolate ice-cream. The drive there was only around 20 minutes, which meant there was plenty of time to see the village, look at some museums and visit the windmills. The guide was very knowledgeable, and she was genuinely fond of Zaanse (sorry, I cannot remember her name). I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to fill in a spare morning or afternoon.

Our tour guide Paul was absolutely wonderful!!! He is from a small town near Zaanse Schans and gave us a personal history of the area. His English was very good. We were given time to shop and buy cheese, candy and watch a Dutch craftsman make a wooden shoe. Climbing up into an actual working windmill and looking out over Zaanse Schans was a big thrill for me. I highly recommend this tour company.

A great excursion! It was good to get out of the city for half a day, and see some of the things that Holland is famous for. They are clearly working hard to preserve their heritage. Callum, our guide, was friendly and informative, and even offered to pick us up from where we were staying as it looked like we were going to be the only ones on the trip that day. Yes, Zaanse Schans has become quite touristy, but out of season at least, well worth a visit!

We had a great time exploring Zaanse Schans just outside of Amsterdam and learning about all of the special, unique cultural and historical insights that made the Netherlands what it is today! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and open to all kinds of questions. Highly recommend!

Found the tour an interesting way to spend a few hours outside the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam however not worth it for those traveling for only a few days.
