See the springtime blooms of Keukenhof Gardens on a day trip from Amsterdam. Drive past the remarkable tulip fields that make the Netherlands a world-famous destination for flower lovers. A guide leads you on an informative tour of Keukenhof Gardens, including thousands of tulips, narcissi, and hyacinths artfully displayed among its ponds and pavilions. You’ll find myriad possibilities for photographing each dazzling patchwork amid the gardens’ 79 acres (32 hectares). Coach transport and admission are included in your 6-hour tour, departing in the morning or afternoon.
  • Take a guided tour of Keukenhof Gardens, one of the largest spring gardens in the world
  • Admire the artfully presented displays of vividly-colored tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils
  • Hear about the story behind Keukenhof and discover more about how the flowers were planted
  • Pickup and drop-off included from select Amsterdam hotels

Why Travelers Choose This Tour

This tour includes a guided tour of Keukenhof, instead of the usual free time, to ensure you see the highlights.
Revel in the beauty of Keukenhof Gardens on a springtime tour of the flower-filled attraction. Depart central Amsterdam or your selected hotel in the morning or afternoon by comfortable coach, traveling into the Dutch countryside where you’ll find meadows awash in brilliant blooms. Listen as your guide reveals the history of the region and stop for photo ops of the postcard-perfect landscape, if time allows.

On arrival, disembark the coach for a guided tour of the magnificent grounds, which cover an area of more than 79 acres (32 hectares) peppered with ponds and water features. Walk among innumerable blooming bulbs, including crocuses, narcissi, hyacinths, tulips, and daffodils, all meticulously landscaped into aesthetically pleasing patterns. While you explore the blaze of flower beds, fields and lawns, learn about the planning—and planting—behind each ephemeral spectacle.

After your time at Keukenhof Gardens, depart by coach for the drive back to Amsterdam, where your tour concludes.
Stop At:
The true highlight of this tour, the Keukenhof. Once a mere kitchen garden filled with vegetables and herbs, the Keukenhof - smack dab in the middle of South Holland’s tulip region - now has the distinction of being the world’s largest flower garden. This guided tour will take you through the 15 kilometers of footpaths and 32 hectares of gardens, where millions of bulbs are planted each year. Tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and other spring bulbs of a variety of vibrant colours carpet the grounds. Stroll through the English landscape garden, the Japanese country garden, and the historical garden. Take in the flower sculpture, based on an annual theme. Just don’t forget to bring your camera - this is an experience you won’t want to forget!

Very good trip. Maybe not the best time for us to visit as was a cold and a rainy day. They do have indoors pavilions where they have so many amazing displays, so you can stay dry, away of the rain and take your time exploring . Would be really worth it to visit maybe at the end of April , beginning of May. We had a good time , enjoying the beautiful gardens despite the rain. I think it worth checking the weather before you book the tickets so you can enjoy the beauty of the place.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It was simply beautiful and cannot be missed! However, if I could change one thing it would be to allow an hour more to really meander on your own. There simply was not enough time to enjoy such a beautiful place!

It was the most beautiful place to be. The flowers were breath taking and I brought home the most wonderful pictures, besides ordering bulbs that will be harvested this summer and planted this fall.

Much fun. Only 4 stars because the tulips were not up. I'd still highly recommend the tour.

Return time to Amsterdam was expected to be 14:30 however that time was actually the planned departure time from the Gardens. The estimated return time to Amsterdam at the final drop-off location should be included in the tour description.

Keukenhof is a wonder , but I suggest that one has to visit Amsterdam in April not May to see the flower fields in full bloom as the fields were green without flowers .

The Keukenhof Gardens were very nice. However, my wife and I were not impressed with the tour. Was advertised as a guided tour as opposed to viewing on our own which you offered as another option. Our guide basically walked us to the middle of the Gardens and dumped us. There was no guided tour!

Keukonhoff gardens are not to be missed if you're in Amsterdam or the vicinity. The guided tour in the gardens was very short, but helpful to know what we should be seeing.
