Why Travelers Choose This Tour
A must-see for every visitor in Amsterdam is the city canals. This cruise benefits from an onboard guide, so you gain insight into the city's sights, twinkling in the evening light, as you savor wine and cheese.
Step aboard a glass-enclosed boat near Amsterdam Central Station for your evening canal cruise, and get settled in at a table. Your host serves a welcome drink of prosecco—after a long day of traveling or sightseeing, indulge in this opportunity to sit back, relax and sip your wine and nibble on the fine charcuterie board as you take in the sights.
Travel along through the city center and some of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, where historical bridges and windows are softly reflected in the water. Listen to live commentary on board about the landmarks and attractions you pass and enjoy unlimited wine, beer, and soft drinks while you sail.
The Golden Bend, a stretch of stately mansions, as well as the Herengracht, Amstel and Oudezijds canals, all drift within view. Admire the sight of Amsterdam’s 5-star Grand Hotel, lit up against the sky.
Glide past Oosterdok, the city’s eastern docks, before navigating back to the departure point, where your cruise ends.
Great cruise experience. Great Captain. Great Guide. Not so great Waiter. Once one waiter allocated to the entire cruise. He neglected us and we were not served well.
The quality of the wines not great. The quality of the cheeses not great.
In a nutshell, I would do this again for the scenery, but not for the food or the great service.
Viator has the missleading system of reservation. If you book action you have to be really carefull if you get what you wanted. I wanted to have bureer cruise, without any announcment the refdirect yoiu to diffirent avtivity, which was cheese and wine. This is really not fair, when i recogniazed problem, i received information that rebooking of action is not possible. At the end, cruise is quite niec, with artifical candlelight, and small plate of cheese for entire 5 members family. Wine beer and softdrinks are avialable in free flow. Evening is truly ok, except amount of cheese, if this is what you wanted, I wanted burger cruise and If there is no such system like Viator offers, I would simly choose another day.Its a pity. It only gives lesson , please read carefulluy all offers which you get! Positive was very nice guide person!
Wonderful, romantic way to see the city and the canals

Would highly recommend the Candelight Canal cruise (with cheese and wine). Easy to find meeting place right beside Centraal station. Friendly, warm crew including guide and servers who really did their most to answer our questions and quench our thirst. Guide provided the right amount of information and was very interesting with his explaination of the city and canals. The candlelight setting and beautiful views of Amsterdam couldn’t be beaten in this experience.
I paid almost $100 for this cruise and we were 5 minutes late and they left without us! We were so disappointed! Therefore, I have nothing to say about it, except I sure wish I could get my money back! We had a hard time getting a taxi over there! I feel they should have waited just a few minutes more!
Very well done and worth the money. Done in English and Dutch, so understanding it was easy. Assortments of wine, cheese, crackers, and smoked meats were great and all you can handle. Great way to spend 2 hours. Nice thing is no photos or other cash generated sales placed on you.
Me, my husband and another couple, all seniors, were really looking forward to this evening canal cruise. The description sounded absolutely wonderful however we were underwhelmed. Before departing the dock, I decided to use the onboard WC, thinking sooner better than later. The dimly lit 3' x 4', if that, cubicle already stank. It probably had not been cleaned from earlier cruises during the day. Our tour operator, Rebecca, had limited knowledge of the sites on the tour. I knew as much as she knew, if not more, because of a bus tour we had taken on our first day. She would reference the right or left banks, but never clarified whose right or left. Rebecca frequently attempted humor to cover her lack of knowledge. It was apparent our party was not the sole group disappointed. Many around us stopped trying to listen to her and simply talked among themselves. A couple of tables close by could be heard commenting on her lack of knowledge and ability to indicate the appropriate side of the canal to view.
The cruise provides unlimited wine and beer, however, the selected wines were not good. Perhaps they should consider offering an introductory freebie of a quality wine and charging full or discount for additional consumption.
