Start your tour with convenient pickup from your Akureyri hotel in the morning. Bring a swimsuit and towel for the stop later at the baths. In a comfortable tour vehicle with your guide and group, set out for Lake Mývatn.

Along the way, stop at the impressive Goðafoss Waterfall, located on the Skjálfandafljót River. 

Once you reach Lake Mývatn, stop first at the pseudo-craters of Skútustaðagígar, then move on to the highlights of the lake area, such as the Dimmuborgir Lava Fields, the Grjótagjá Rift, the Hverir Mud Pools. 

Stop at a local restaurant to enjoy some refreshments (own expense) featuring local Icelandic delicacies. 

On the way back to Akureyri, take some time to relax at the Mývatn Nature Baths. This geothermal pool of water in the middle of the lava fields features picturesque views of the sea beyond. Swimsuits and towels are available for rent. 

At the end of the day, return to your hotel for drop-off.
