The Basics

With at least a dozen museums spread along 11 blocks (plus all the other monuments and memorials), there’s a lot to see and do at the National Mall. As a hub of so many attractions, the National Mall features on just about every guided tour of the city.

Walking tours of the National Mall hone in on the history of America’s “front yard,” while evening tours on foot, by coach, or Segway allow visitors to see the monuments and museums illuminated after dark. Some tours combine the National Mall with a trip to Arlington National Cemetery.

Washington DC Moonlit Tour of the National Mall with Pick-Up & Stops at 10 Sites
Very professional and exactly as advertised. Tyrone provided accurate narratives and humorous anecdotes. The bus was clean, well sanitized, and everyone wore masks. The night pictures are dramatic and make for timeless remembrances and souvenirs.

Washington DC Moonlit Tour of the National Mall with Pick-Up & Stops at 10 Sites
I enjoyed this trip for my fiancé and I’s 5 year anniversary. Our tour guide was energetic, funny and did a great job explaining the history behind the monuments and surrounding buildings. The tour took some time but it was well worth it. The coach was clean, spacious & climate-controlled. My favorites were the MLK & Lincoln memorials.

Washington DC National Mall Night Tour - Stops at 10 Iconic Attractions!
Excellent tour, the van was a bit crowded considering covid but the driver and tour guide did a fantastic job both giving us a great tour but also doing their part in mask-wearing. We took our 90-year-old mom and they were very accomodating with her. We did a private daytime tour and this Night Tour was definitely the highlight of our trip to DC. I wish I had taken this tour first but we scheduled it for my actual birthday. If you only do one tour, do this one, it will not disappoint.

We loved our guide. The transportation was amazing, and the ability to get so close to the White House during protests with safety was amazing.

Sally is one of the BEST tour guides. Her way of presenting history is unique and captivating. Chris is the most patient driver and safety is his top concern. Hotel pick up went smoothly!

Washington DC National Mall Night Tour - Stops at 10 Iconic Attractions!
There were so many things my family loved about this tour! Not only did they take us to all of the monuments but Jennifer was very knowledgeable about the location. She could answer any questions you had, had lots of stories, and even some fun trivia with Covid friendly prizes. Our driver was also very helpful. I highly recommend this tour!

Washington DC National Mall Night Tour - Stops at 10 Iconic Attractions!
Our guide, Rob, was so informative! We went to all the national mall stops from Capital Building to the Lincoln Memorial and everywhere in between. At each stop he showed us how to get some great pics and even took some for us so the whole family could be in the picture. All the buildings were lit up at night, it was so beautiful.

Our tour guide, Corey, was outstanding. He was very personable and did not sound like a scripted robot. He made sure everyone on the tour was pleased. This tour was very good and worth the cost. I cannot say that about all the tours we took with other companies.

Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool

One of the most prominent features of the National Mall is the 2,028-foot (618-meter) glass reflecting pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial. The pool was built in the 1920s, and today, it uses water from the Tidal Basin, treated and filtered to up its reflection factor.
