Bateman Foundation Gallery of Nature Tours

Devoted to the life and works of its namesake, Victoria’s Robert Bateman Centre is home to the largest collection of Bateman paintings in the world. The gallery invites visitors to discover the natural world through the eyes of the legendary Canadian painter and naturalist.
The Basics
Exhibitions showcase Bateman’s wildlife paintings, sculptures, and drawings. With both originals and reproductions on display, you can see a comprehensive collection of his works, including a number of rare pieces. Highlights include the Birdsong Gallery, where Bateman’s bird portraits are brought to life with interactive birdsong audio, and an ever-changing programme of exhibits that tend to feature works by both Bateman and other notable wildlife artists and photographers.
