The Basics

The Sea to Sky Gondola is one of the best ways to understand the majesty and grandeur of the immense landscape, which can be difficult to comprehend, let alone appreciate, at ground level. Sightseers can purchase a ticket for the gondola and make their way there independently. At the top, admire views from the observation deck, follow interpretative walking trails, or tread across the Sky Pilot suspension bridge.

Alternatively, opt for an organized day tour that includes round-trip transport from Vancouver and stops at other area attractions, such as Shannon Falls, the historic gold-mining town of Britannia, Brandywine Falls, and Whistler Village. More active travelers can combine tickets for the Sea to Sky Gondola with a whitewater rafting trip on the Cheakamus River or take part in a hiking tour during which participants trek up to the summit from Shannon Falls Provincial Park, before riding the gondola back down.

It was an uncountable experience. I gave my wife best moment on her birthday. Everything was awesome just because of David and Joey.

Whistler and Sea to Sky Gondola Tour
Enjoyable tour. Had wonderful weather. It was unfortunate the gondola was broken at the time; however, all other parts of the tour were fun. It was also unfortunate that there was a big biking event on and we couldn't move around easily. I had pre booked the peak to peak tour and because of all the bikes there were hold ups getting up the mountain.

A great look at the scenic views from an easy on off gondola. At the top a short suspension bridge to many different homes or just a look see.

Whistler and Sea to Sky Gondola Tour
Full day (8:30am - 8:00pm), but superb vistas on the way to/from Whistler, and great experience on the Whistler/Blackcomb gondolas. Great rapport with the bus driver.

Whistler and Sea to Sky Gondola Tour
Dan our guide was very nice. He informed us well how long to get to the next place. He gave us very interesting information about Canada, about the people, about the places we passed, etc. The gondola was very nice and the scenery beautuful. We waited to eat in Whistler. Delicious food! Then we had time to walk in Whistler. It is beautiful. My family loved the tour. We learned a lot with Dan and we saw beautiful places.

A While at Whistler

Whistler and Sea to Sky Gondola Tour
Everything promised was achieved. Hotel pickup and return were to the door. Included gondola ride was superb. Time was sufficient for refreshment at the top while making full value of the stunning views. Scenery along the road was varied while time at Whistler Village enabled investigation of the former winter olympic site, both retail and historic. A 10 hour day with appropriate stops and good points of interest.

Whistler and Sea to Sky Gondola Tour
We had a fantastic driver called Leslie who helped make the journey so fun. Was really prompt and on time. We had a really good group of people on the bus too so the journey was full of laughs and giggles. We stopped off at Shannon falls which was lovely, really pretty and the first knackering stop of the day as it's all uphill walking. Next we went to a squeamish centre. This part of the trip for me was a bit pointless, there was a cafe and shop there but not enough to warrant the time we were there. I would have preferred to have the extra hour in whistler. Whistler was beautiful but the peak 2 peak took most of our time, so it was a rush to grab some food and a Starbucks before heading back. The sea to sky gondola was down when we went but actually I am glad as the peak 2 peak was just stunning. I know it was offered with this tour previously and they should do it again. We loved whistler and would love to go back. I would highly recommend this trip

A Fine Ride With Leslie

Whistler and Sea to Sky Gondola Tour
This review praises Leslie as a tour guide. Informative and funny, a very likable Brit. Also praise for the company who notified us of the Sea To Sky gondola vandalism which made that stop impossible. We got a choice to cancel with full refund, or go on the tour without that stop and a reduced price. We chose to go on the tour and even without the Sea To Sky ride, it was a wonderful tour of the mountains and the forest outside Vancouver. The best thing was the ability to buy Peak To Peak gondola rides in Whistler. Leslie made the trip a very relaxing and enjoyable day.
