The experiences I provide are not a form of entertainment or performance. Some experiences do not offer a true Samurai experience because foreign visitors are not familiar with Japanese culture. I believe this should not be the case and teach authentic Japanese swordsmanship and spirit. For those who wish to have a proper experience, or want to study authentic kenjutsu, please come join one of my lessons. The Toyama school of swordsmanship was originally taught by the old Japanese army and was the last Kenjutsu to be used in actual combat. So,Toyama school was developed by combining the specialties of various sword schools. You will have a special experience in discovering me. You can experience it at the Toyama school headquarters. I hope you can see the difference between real swordsmanship and sword fighting seen on TV and movies.

This experience is specialized for tameshigiri or test cutting. In tameshigiri ,there are only three types of cuts: Kesagiri (downward diagonal cut), Gyaku-kesa Giri (upward diagonal cut) and Suiheigiri (horizontal cut). If we include cuts from 3 cutting the right and left, there are a total of six cuts. Various techniques are then created from combing these six basic cuts.
