Located at the entrance to Wilpena Pound, the Ikara Safari Camp is the only accommodation located within the Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park. This extraordinary landscape is 800 million years old and has been home to Adnyamathanha people for tens of thousands of years.
The ultimate Outback ‘glamping’ experience, each of the 15 safari tents has a king size bed (can be split), modern ensuite bathroom, luxury amenities, reverse cycle air-conditioning, power and a private deck and fire pit. All tents are positioned to offer magnificent views of the sunset over Wilpena Pound.
Guests have access to all facilities including the restaurant, bar, pool and general store. The on-site Visitor Information Centre offers Aboriginal cultural guided walks by Adnyamathanha guides, as well as 4WD tours, bicycle hire and the ‘must do’ scenic flights over Wilpena Pound and Lake Eyre.

Departing Hoffnungsthal Valley we take you past the township of Lyndoch heading along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley to Seppeltsfield. Here you will see vines contouring the rolling hills and palm tree lined roads.
Then off to Nuriootpa, where your pilot will point out Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery.
