The Basics

Strolling around the ruins makes for an atmospheric walking tour, but the real highlight is climbing St. Rule's Tower, which affords a wonderful view over coastal cliffs, St. Andrews Castle, and beyond. The Pictish St. Andrews Sarcophagus is on display in a museum housing medieval sculptures and relics excavated from the ruins.

The cathedral is a popular stop on sightseeing tours of St. Andrews, often in combination with nearby attractions such as St. Andrews Castle, St. Andrews University, and the Golf Museum. Many travelers visit on a day trip from Edinburgh, stopping at sights like the Forth Rail Bridge and Dunfermline Abbey along the way.

Lovely Day in St. Andrews.
Our guide Adrian was excellent. He shared a wealth of information with. Truly personal touch for each guest. We we able to really see St Andrews and fishing villages in all their glory. An hour was a little long for the options in Anstruther. Maybe a little less time there and a little more in St Andrews. ITT was a wonderful way to see a beautiful part of Scotland.

St Andrews Town: Walking Tour
Our guide Cordelia was engaging, empathetic, friendly and inclusive. Content was a wee bit flat, but I guess that anything featuring the Scottish Reformation and the purchasing prowess of St Andrews University would be.

Really interesting. He knew lots of history and had an in-depth knowledge of the ghosts. He has studied these himself and is able to answer all your questions. Last 90 minutes.

St Andrews & The Fishing Villages of Fife from Edinburgh
Our guide, Eric, told great stories, knew the history cold, and when re-routed down a single lane village road drove with amazing skill. We had a wonderful sunny day exploring the ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral, visiting St. Andrews golf course and watching huge baskets of lobsters being pulled in by fishermen in Anstruther. Terrific tour!
