We cruise along the coastline of the beautiful waterway adjacent to the township of Coffin Bay, Kellidie Bay. You will enjoy freshly shucked oysters as you hear all about oyster farming and the history associated. First stop is to visit the nursery oyster farms situated in the middle of Kellidie Bay. Here you will see how the oysters are grown with the new adjustable longline technique. Next stop is the original oyster farm still with the original fixed rail method of growing oysters. Your tour guide will be the oyster farmer who will share his oyster farming knowledge with you. With this 1 hr tour there is not enough time to visit the fattening/growing areas 16 km by boat at the entrance to the coffin bay waterway but this is the next best thing if you are short on time.
