Museum of Fairground Arts (Musée des Arts Forains) Tours and Activities

The Museum of Fairground Arts (Musée des Arts Forains) is a private museum in Paris that holds a collection of items from amusement parks and fairgrounds. The museum was created by Jean-Paul Favand from his private collection and contains antiques dating from 1850 to 1950. In the garden there are crystal chandeliers attached to a sky of greenery. Visitors can also see the magical fountain, a hot air balloon carrying an elephant, and a unicorn playing the piano. There are hundred-year-old carousels from the Belle Epoque Fair at the end of the 19th century. In the little Venice section, you'll find a lagoon, a gondola merry-go-round, and a baroque palace.
This museum is a unique place to visit for amusement park enthusiasts. Visitors will get the chance to see historical rides, attractions, and stalls, including many that have been restored. You can experience what a fair might have been like more than a hundred years ago in different thematic rooms, such as The Venetian Lounges, The Theater of Marvels, and The Fairground Art Museum.
