Mojave Desert

California

The Basics

The Mojave Desert, which lies mostly within California, also stretches into small portions of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Death Valley National Park is the desert’s most notable attraction, but there is much to explore here. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, outside of Las Vegas, is popular for its rugged rock formations, while Mojave National Preserve features sand dunes, Joshua trees, and endless wildflowers.

The region attractions all kinds of visitors, from outdoorsy travelers interested in hiking and camping, to rock-climbing adventure-seekers, to those just passing through en route from Los Angeles or San Diego to Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon. Aerial Grand Canyon tours provide views of the desert from the sky, while multi-day US West road-trip tours stop at various parks and preserves.

Great Experience 😄

Half-Day Mojave Desert ATV Tour from Las Vegas
Josh was a great guide. He shared lots of tour-guide style info on the way to and from the trail in a way that was engaging and fun. It would have been nice if we could have gotten to go a bit faster and play a bit, but overall it was a great experience. I would suggest the short tour for beginners on a quad, but it sounds like the full day tour gets to have a bit more fun on the quad itself.

Half-Day Mojave Desert ATV Tour from Las Vegas
We did the half-day ATV ride. The actual ride is 2 hours. It takes about one hour each way to get to the location. The hour ride was cool, our driver was giving us a ton of LV history.

I upgraded our trip to a Razor so my husband got to drive instead of me. Jess was our tour guide. SHE WAS AMAZING..funny, engaging and made the trip a whole lot more enjoyable. She even suggested a restaurant to eat at that night which was the best food we had all trip. THANK YOU JESS for being a breath of fresh air.
