No prerequisites are necessary to take part in our workshops, which are supervised by animators / craftsmen, who will guide you on the working techniques, tools and the materials used. The detailed program of the workshop is defined by the trainers, and could be readjusted during the session to provide training tailored to the participants. All the necessary equipment will be provided and you will leave with your finished products.

With the help of a native host, you will learn how to draw Islamic geometry patterns on wood. A local artisan will lead you through all the process. You will go home with a souvenir and a piece of art of your creation.

Craft Draft looks to preserve the traditional crafts of the Fez Medina by sharing skills and knowledge. Participants at CRAFT DRAFT workshops become part of a trade that traditionally could only be entered into by young Fessi apprentices. Learning about the history of and threats to the tradition, they go away with invaluable skills, as well as a greater understanding of both the importance of the preservation of particular crafts, but also a sense for the importance of preservation of traditional crafts generally. ​ Everyone is an artisan!
