Wynwood Walls is an art exhibition that spans 80,000 square feet of wall space. Located in Miami’s Wynwood district, the “outdoor museum” boasts a constantly changing collection of murals by some of the world’s top graffiti and street artists.
The Wynwood Walls project began in 2009 with the goal of revitalizing the community and the bland exteriors in this former warehouse district. Today, the project has expanded outside of its original area and onto other buildings in the neighborhood. The exhibition is a stop during many Miami tours, including art-focused walking tours and itineraries that focus on the best of Wynwood. The grassy area between the murals also hosts lectures, special exhibitions, and signings.
Things to Know Before You Go
- This outdoor exhibition is exposed to the sun; make sure to bring a hat and wear sunscreen.
- Flat concrete paths make the site accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.
- The large exhibition space offers plenty of room for kids to run around in.
