Reservatauro Ronda Tours

Situated inside a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Reservatauro Ronda, a bull- and horse-breeding farm, offers curious visitors an alternative way to explore the history and culture of Spanish bullfighting. Learn about each stage of the fighting bull’s life, the breeding process, bullfighter training, and more during a guided tour.
The Basics
Owned by former bullfighter Rafael Tejada, Reservatauro Ronda is one of few bull and horse ranches of its kind in Spain. Interact with the animals during a guided tour, which typically run several times a day. Visit on your own or as part of a full-day excursion from nearby Malaga, ideal for travelers with limited time to explore. Tours often include a stop in Ronda, which is home to one of the country’s most famous bullrings.
Things to Know Before You Go
- Visitors interested in Spanish bullfighting won’t want to miss the opportunity to visit a bull-breeding farm.
- Choose a guided tour package that suits your interests and schedule—some include wine and tapas tastings.
- The farm recommends that guests guarantee entry by booking admission in advance.
- There is an onsite recreational area and vending machines.
- Reservatauro Ronda is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
How to Get There
Reservatauro Ronda is situated just 3 miles (5 km) from Ronda, and most visitors find it easiest to arrive by private vehicle. Follow the A-367 Ronda-Campillos road and exit at Km 34. The farm can also arrange round-trip transfers from Ronda, and a variety of full-day excursions around the area also include transportation.
When to Get There
Reservatauro Ronda is open daily from 10am to 6pm and offers a variety of different tours: The Five Senses tour (which includes food and wine) runs three times a day, at 10:30am, 12pm, and 4pm, while the shorter Between Bulls and Horses tour begins at 12pm and 4pm each day. Spring and fall are low seasons in Spain, so aim to visit Reservatauro Ronda during these periods if you want a quieter experience.
Explore Ronda
As one of Spain’s most popular and historic towns, Ronda makes an excellent day trip destination for visitors to the Costa del Sol. Be sure to stop by the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) and admire views over El Tajo Gorge before stopping at the impressively preserved Arab Baths (Baños Árabes). Finally, try to sample at least one of the town’s unique wines before you head out.
