Old Louisville Ghost Tour as Recommended by The New York Times

Old Louisville Ghost Tour as Recommended by The New York Times

star-5
Old Louisville is a fascinating neighborhood that has been gaining more and more national exposure because of its impressive collection of Victorian mansions and quirky residents. Developed primarily in the 1880s and 1890s, it once counted as the most sought-after residential enclave in the Derby City. This tour is based on books by author and storyteller David Dominé, who is an expert on Old Louisville and its history. He often shows up to guide the tours himself. The tales shared involve personal experiences and neighborhood gossip. The New York Times recommends a tour with his company, Louisville Historic Tours, as the first thing not to miss during a visitors "36 Hours in Louisville."

Old Louisville Walking Tour as Recommended by The New York Times!

Old Louisville Walking Tour as Recommended by The New York Times!

star-5
Since 2004, Louisville Historic Tours offers the ORIGINAL guided walk of Old Louisville, "America's Most Exuberant Neighborhood." Our tours are based on the research and writings of David Dominé, an expert on Old Louisville and its colorful history, and he often shows up to guide the tours in person. Unlike other companies, we still run the tour, even if only 1 person is signed up. If you're a fan of Victorian history and old houses, this is the tour for you. We give you a comprehensive overview and tours typically last 90 minutes. We don't showcase just St. James Court and Central Park at the heart of the neighborhood, we also show you Ormsby Avenue, Park Avenue cottages, Floral Terrace walking court, the Witches' Tree, Millionaires Row, and the transitional edge of Old Louisville. Don't confuse us with our recent competition in the park: Our tour covers 20 blocks, whereas other neighborhood walking tours only involve 10 blocks.
