Magical Beatles Museum
The Basics
The museum is located just a few doors down from the Cavern Club on Mathew Street, a staple of most Beatles-focused city tours, which also tend to cover Penny Lane and the statue of Cilla Black. To save time waiting on the day, book admission tickets in advance and spend an hour or two browsing the chronologically-organised collection, which also encompasses personal items such as letters, photographs, clothes, and telegrams.

Things to Know Before You Go
The Magical Beatles Museum is a must-visit for fans of the Fab Four.
The Victorian-era venue is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
Don’t bring heavy coats as there is no cloakroom on site.
Much of the collection derives from the personal keepsakes of Neil Aspinall, the band’s former assistant, and Pete Best, the founding drummer.
Photography is only permitted in some areas—check with a member of staff.
How to Get There
Find the museum with ease on a city tour or arrive by hop-on hop-off bus, nearly all of which stop nearby. Alternatively, the museum is a short walk from James Street, which is served by Merseyrail links from London and Scotland, and under ten minutes from Lime Street Station, the city’s main station.

When to Get There
The museum opens daily, with last admission in the early evening. Today, Mathew Street is one of Liverpool’s busiest areas, especially during the evening, so visit on a weekday morning to avoid the crowds.
