The Basics

The West Rim is an ideal day trip destination from Las Vegas, Nevada. Hike the area, visit the Western-style Hualapai Ranch for food and themed activities, or step onto the famous Grand Canyon Skywalk—a glass bridge near Guano Point that allows visitors to see the Colorado River flowing 4,000 feet (1,219 meters) beneath their feet. The West Rim is a popular destination for helicopter tours from Las Vegas, which give travelers a bird’s-eye view of the canyon and nearby attractions such as the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. For a special treat, opt for a sunset helicopter tour that includes Champagne. Bus tours from Vegas offer a different perspective and sometimes also include a visit to Joshua Tree National Park.

Grand Canyon West Rim by Tour Trekker with Optional Upgrades
Our tour of the Grand Canyon West Rim was amazing. Our tour guide, Bob, was extremely knowledgeable and provide a ton of information as we made our way to the destination. We have a lovely lunch that was provided by the tour before heading over to the Hoover Dam. The views were breath taking, the background information was interesting, our guide was wonderful and overall our experience was amazing! It made for a long day but it was well worth the early rise.

Grand Canyon West Rim Bus Tour from Las Vegas with Optional Upgrades
The trip to the canyon was so excellent because driver was so knowledgeable on areas of interest. He made everyone feel the 2.5 hrs drive wasn't that long on her 5star clean tour bus.

Grand Canyon West Rim Bus Tour & Hoover Dam Photo Stop with optional Skywalk
The tour was very nice. The tour guide was knowlagible and very funny and kep the group disciplined in a very nice way. The driver Leon was also very good I felt I was I good and safe hands. Breakfast place was clean, fast service and good food. The only disappointment was that we were promised a sit down BBQ lunch that was replaced with small tray of subs and chips. The change could have been disclosed. To sum up staff was fantastic promises not so much.

Grand Canyon West Rim Bus Tour & Hoover Dam Photo Stop with optional Skywalk
It was amazing!!! Wonderful experience! Much better than driving myself like I had planned. My kids enjoyed our tour guide, Diaz! You might want to change the description since you can’t visit the reservation bc of Covid. But the box lunch was delicious!!!

Grand Canyon West Rim Bus Tour from Las Vegas with Optional Upgrades
the trip was awesome , our driver lala? was amazing. canyon itself was incredible but the Skywalk had a line so insane that we didn't think we had time to wait in it. they were only letting around 6 people out there at a time. bc packing us in a line is safer against covid verse having more people on the Skywalk.

Grand Canyon Deluxe Helicopter Tour from Las Vegas
This was the most AMAZING experience. Jake, our pilot, was THE BEST!! He was funny, knowledgeable, patient and over all a great pilot. I HIGHLY recommend this experience. Maverick helicopters were professional, clean, helpful and so nice. Most importantly they are very safe. This was an experience of a lifetime.

Excellent tour. Wally was a really good tour guide. Kept everyone on time but free to explore and take pictures. Bus was clean. Lunch was good. Breakfast was very high carbs.

Grand Canyon Helicopter Flight with Colorado River Float or Kayak Trip
Great Heli ride but rafting was canceled due to covid restrictions :(. Pilot was funny and flying out of Canyon was breath taking. Drinks were generous. Make sure you have CashApp to tip everyone.

Grand Canyon Deluxe Helicopter Tour from Las Vegas
Everything is run smoothly from booking to pick up to helicopter ride to return. Everything is clean and professionally done. Our pilot Joe was awesome and the tidbits he gave during the tour were interesting and informative. Felt like being in a high budget Hollywood film soaring above Vegas then landing inside the Grand Canyon. The champagne picnic inside the canyon was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend to others! An unforgettable experience!!

Grand Canyon West with Lunch & Optional Skywalk from Las Vegas
When we were picked up, the bus was extremely overcrowded for our 2.5 hr drive. We were sitting knee to knee during covid-19. Also, no morning snacks. The different view points of the Grand Canyon were very impressive. The shuttles points were excellent!! Panda, our driver, was able to get a bigger bus for the trip home. His knowledge of the area & history of native people, canyon & Vegas were excellent -thanks Panda!!

History of the West Rim

Although the Hualapai Indian Reservation was created in 1883, the Grand Canyon West Rim area wasn’t developed until 1988, when 2,100 members of the Native American tribe decided to open their ancestral lands to visitors. In addition to its stunning viewpoints, the area now offers white water rafting, scenic hiking trails, and rustic lodging to travelers.
