Energylandia

Aleja 3 Maja 2, Zator, 32-640

The Basics

Energylandia is roughly halfway between Krakow and Katowice, but most travelers visit from Krakow. While cheaper than American theme parks, Energylandia tickets are priced high for Poland. However, children under 3 years get in (almost) free, while kids under 4 feet 7 inches tall (140 centimeters tall) enjoy discounted rates.

Tours with door-to-door private transfers allow much more flexibility than the park’s fixed-schedule shuttle services and can slash travel time. Particularly for families and groups, they’re a good investment.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Energylandia is a great option for families, coaster fans, and festivalgoers alike.

  • The park houses over 30 different eating options, from junk food to fine dining, as well as several bars.

  • Children under 18 gain entry for just one zloty on their birthday. Show proof at the office to collect your ticket.

  • The site is exposed. Bring sunscreen and drink water on sunny days.

  • Energylandia offers wheelchair access, but few rides are accessible to travelers who rely on wheelchairs. Wheelchair users should avoid visiting on weekends.

How to Get There

Energylandia is in Zator, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) east of downtown Krakow and 33 miles (53 kilometers) southwest of Katowice. In spring and fall, a shuttle leaves Krakow’s MDA Bus Station in the morning, returning early evening; during summer, there are two morning departures and a later return. There’s also a seasonal shuttle service from Katowice and, in summer, daily return trains from Krakow and Katowice. For more flexibility, book a private transfer.

When to Get There

Energylandia operates during the warmer months. Expect the park to open every day from May through September, on weekends and other key dates during April, and for much of October. It opens midmorning and runs until early evening, later during the June-through-August peak. For special events, such as festivals or Halloween, Energylandia occasionally operates until midnight. The park has no capacity limit, so sunny summer weekends can be crazy hot and crowded.

The Best Roller Coasters at Energylandia

Speed is a roller coaster/flume combo that reaches rates of up to 68 mph (110 kph). The Mayan spits out a whopping 5G force over the course of five inversions.
