Historic Port Arthur Day Trip from Hobart Including Cliff-Top Walk to Waterfall Bay
I liked the add ons. We went to see some awesome places such as Tasmania’s Arch and the Devils Kitchen. There is also an option to do the Unzoo to see Tasmanian Devils. Port Arthur is amazing. So much history and it’s a beautiful place. You need a lot of time to take it all in. Our tour guide, Dave was fantastic. So much knowledge. So many anecdotes as well. He kept us entertained all day. He was personable and professional. Very flexible too. Thanks Dave.

Port Arthur and Lavender Active Day Tour
We had a wonderful day. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing. He was very knowledgeable and narrated the history of the places we went and that made it even more interesting. Unfortunately the lavender farm was closed due to restoration though the shops and cafe was open. Apart from that we had wonderful time at Port Arthur, did a 30 minute cruise, went to Richmond and few other places. We'd highly recommend. We had a memorable experience.

Port Arthur Tour from Hobart
A thoroughly good day out, hosted by Mark. We travelled as a family of 4 with two kids aged 6 and 3. It was a big day, but nothing that little legs couldn’t handle (with plenty of toilet and ice cream stops along the way). Fascinating and important history to know and understand. Mark was very knowledgeable and easy going. We had a hire car so had considered driving ourselves down to Port Arthur instead, but are glad we opted for the tour with a hotel pick up instead in the end.

Port Arthur Tours

The stories of Port Arthur are told in different ways. Interactive displays tell the tragic story of the 12,500 convicts who served time from 1830 to 1877, while after-dark ghost tours explore the site’s haunted buildings. Optional guided tours visit the Isle of the Dead, the final resting place for many of the convicts, and the Point Puer boys’ prison, an experimental prison that housed around 3,000 young boys between 1834 and 1849.
