Home to some of Mexico’s most impressive José Clemente Orozco murals, the 19th-century Hospicio Cabañas Cultural Institute (Instituto Cultural Cabañas) is a former orphanage-turned-arts center. This UNESCO-recognized building is also notable for its imposing neoclassical architecture, among the best of its kind in Mexico.

We will get to know step by step and in a short while by car the Historic Center of Guadalajara from a gastronomic, cultural and historical perspective. Starting with a typical breakfast of the region, we will continue to the Pitayas Park (April and May season) where we can taste a carafe ice cream with different flavors even outside the pitaya season; to reach our next points such as the Mexicalzingo neighborhood, the two temples and the other points of the route.
Right at noon we will taste a snack that we only find in the area. Our next destination is the Cabañas Cultural Institute and the Libertad Market where, in addition to enjoying its beautiful color, we will taste one of the many regional dishes.
Now rested and satisfied, we will continue touring the points of the itinerary until we reach the neighborhood of El Santuario.
