Uffizi Galleries (Gallerie degli Uffizi)

Tues–Sun 8:15am–6:50pm
Piazza degli Uffizi, Florence, Tuscany, 50125

The Basics

Due to its immense popularity, the Uffizi Galleries is prone to long lines and extensive wait times—it's best to book skip-the-line admission to maximize your time. The gallery features a number of long, winding art-filled hallways, making it near-impossible to see everything on display, so small-group guided tours and self-guided audio tours are recommended to help you see the top pieces and give some context to the works you’re viewing. A visit is often combined with a stop at the nearby Accademia Gallery, which houses the Statue of David.

Early Access: Guided Uffizi Gallery Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket
Angelo was our tour guide for the Uffizi. He was incredible. A tremendous wealth of knowledge and humor. He was just fantastic. If you can request Angelo, he was just great. Had a lot of insight, knowledge, and humor. He made the tour a truly memorable experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We traveled in December 2020 so the crowds weren't bad given the off season and ongoing Covid issues in Europe.

I have taken dozens of tours through Viator, and this one is at the top!!! Leticia, the tour guide, is OUTSTANDING; her knowledge, passion, kindness and professionalism is amazing. Crish, the tour operator was wonderful, accommodating and generous. I cannot decoy this tour enough, and if you’re lucky you will also enjoy spending the time (and learning so much) with the guidance of Leticia.

Uffizi Gallery - Semi Private Tour
Excellent guided tour in one of the most beautiful museums in the world! Cristiano, our tour guide, was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the Uffizi paintings and scupltures. With him, we went through the main highlights of the museum ( Giotto, Boticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci, Donatello, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Rubens, etc…) and the history of the Medici family. Highly recommended tour!

Florence City Tour, Skip-the-line David & Uffizi Gallery - Private Tour
Our tour guide Eleonora is born and grew up in Florence. She is so warm and knowledgeable about history, culture and everything Florence. Apart from the key sightseeing spots, she also introduced us to two very interesting artisan shops here and observed how people here created arts may be thousands years ago. Super interesting personal tour which I will strongly recommend.

What Not To Miss at the Uffizi Galleries

Although art enthusiasts are bound to enjoy every piece, a few highlights include the Medici collection (gifted to the museum in the 18th century) and the Caravaggio works on the first floor. Other must-sees include Botticelli’sThe Birth of Venus; da Vinci's only completed panel painting,The Annunciation; and Titian'sVenus of Urbino.
