Dublin City Gallery the Hugh Lane
Visit Dublin City Gallery the Hugh Lane on Parnell Square to see more than 2,000 pieces of modern and contemporary art by renowned artists such as Monet, Renoir, Degas, and Manet. Simply the Hugh Lane to locals, the gallery is also home to a re-created studio of Francis Bacon, an Irish-born painter who earned international acclaim for his work.

The Basics
Admission is free at this Dublin gallery. Discover a variety of temporary exhibits in addition to the permanent collection of acclaimed international artists. Spend extra time to take in all of the extraordinary details of Francis Bacon’s studio which was re-created with special attention to the eccentric and messy state in which it was found in after the painter’s death. Concerts are held in the sculpture hall Sundays at noon from September to June.
