Toy Museum of Colmar (Musée du Jouet Colmar) Tours and Activities

The Toy Museum (Musée du Jouet), a small, playful space in the heart of Colmar, is aimed at visitors both young and old. Home to a collection of playthings that date from the 19th century to the present day, the museum (housed in a former movie theater) offers exhibits about everything from dolls to model trains to board games.
The Basics
Founded in 1985 by Georges Trincot, a Colmar-based artist and antique toy collector, the Toy Museum of Colmar has developed into one of the region’s most popular museums. Visit its collection of toys, which includes more than 1,000 items from the past 200 years, and learn about the history of childhood playthings. The museum also boasts temporary exhibitions, interactive play areas, workshops, and other attractions.
