Isla Mujeres

The Basics

Most Isla Mujeres tours leave from Cancun, whether you want to travel by sailboat, catamaran, or motorboat. A snorkeling excursion is one of the best ways to experience the island’s diverse aquatic life, and many Isla Mujeres day trips visit the Manchones, El Meco, or Garrafon reefs. If you’re feeling daring, some tours include a swim with whale sharks, the world’s biggest fish. Combo tours from Cancun allow you to visit Isla Mujeres along with other Riviera Maya attractions such as Contoy Island (Isla Contoy), Xcaret Park, or Chichen Itza.

So much fun!
This was the most fun we had in Cancun. Joel and his staff were charming and entertaining! The snorkeling was great - water was refreshing and crystalline. The visit to Isla Mujeres was too short but was so fun! Highly recommend this trip!!!

Half-Day Sailing Trip to Isla Mujeres from Cancun
This was such a great experience! My friends and I had a blast! The snorkeling was an eye opening experience as well as being on Isla Mujeres. The only thing we wish was more time on the island 😊 The staff were very hospitable and made accommodations regarding the COVID-19 guidelines

Swim with Whale Sharks Tour from Isla Mujeres and Cancun
Swimming with the biggest fish in the sea is a once in a lifetime experience. It was amazing, and when we returned to Isla Mujeres, we anchored at the beach and enjoyed ceviche made by one of the crew members with red snapper he had caught the night before. Such an incredible day, and the team members at Island Adventures Mexico made it perfect.

Half-Day Sailing Trip to Isla Mujeres from Cancun
The whole experience was great. Although we were the only ones not snorkeling, we were treated great as the group went out snorkeling, they made us feel like this was our own personal trip to Isla Mujeres. The catamaran was clean and in well working order. The Captain Carlos and his son and crew were very accommodating and gracious. Well worth the trip. Would definitely recommend.

It was an awesome experience except for the food need to improve. Also waited too long for the transportation going back

Isla Mujeres Island Catamaran
The Catamaran was such a fun time! There was sun, music, drinks, tequila, and many smiles. Snorkeling was really neat, there were multiple things to see in the water including the underwater statues, reef with fish, and stone cars in the water. After snorkeling, we went to Isla Mujeres for some shopping, food, and beach time. We recommend the extra golf cart tour, which lets you drive around the island for site seeing. The staff was friendly, bilingual, and always ready to help.

Half-Day Sailing Trip to Isla Mujeres from Cancun
The crew was so nice and the experience was a 10/10! I would highly recommend this to everyone. The half day is so much better compared to the full day. The boat was a great size and the group size was very comfortable and you had room to social distance! Super amazing!

Sailing Experience to Isla Mujeres in a Catamaran with Open Bar
Had a super fun time! We went with a bachelorette/birthday celebration and were looking for something Covid safe. The crew was great and very attentive to all guests. Loved being on the Catamaran, would've been happy just riding that all day!

Because Isla Mujeres is only five miles (eight kilometers) long, most people use golf carts or scooters to get around.
