This is a rare opportunity to learn the ancient skill of glass blowing. You will truly understand what it means to be a glass blower. You will learn skills such as gathering glass, pick­ing up color, keeping your piece at a workable temp., shaping, marvering, blowing and using various glass molds. Glass blowing is fun, challenging, and a great team building exercise for family, coworkers and friends. Our students find the experience rewarding, surprising, exciting and an opportunity they will always remember!

As a professional artist and teacher, it is one of my passions to teach others the joy of art making. I love watercolor sketch journaling and would love to share with you my years of tips and tricks so that you can learn how to easily draw and paint...even if you are a total beginner! This art class is special because it is specifically designed for vacation travelers. I will show you the essential supplies you need to have a small, portable "art studio" that you can take traveling. You will be able to easily draw and paint anytime, anywhere and capture your vacation memories in your own watercolor journal!

Open Source Skateboards is one of the only places in the world where you can design and build your own custom board. Our specialty is custom shapes, and this introductory workshop allows anyone to experience part of the process of skateboard design and construction. The instructor will also be able to recommend skate spots for your visit to San Diego, for any type of skating - whether its parks, cruising, downhill, dancing, or street. What better place to build your own board than San Diego, one of the birthplaces of skateboarding!

We are a Makerspace supported by multiple actual business entities that support entrepreneurship learning. Our activities are gathered by and presented by our community members. We have a special interest in Long Beach Pike history. so it's a great way to combine your sightseeing and your recreation! You get the Makerspace for an extended period of time, so you can come and go! We offer validation for discounted parking.

Create! Connect! Play! Adventure lovers get ready for a non traditional IMMERSIVE scavenger/detective hunt! This fun and challenging journey through the desert landscape is a creative challenge, social experiment and detective hunt for history and nature clues! Your 2 hour creative adventure is through the incredible desert landscape, being challenged as you go. You will be getting fun photo and video clues, engaging in your environment and learning about the Magic of Joshua Tree as you go. The sky is the limit as far as the creativity you bring to this adventure. Please note there is no geocaching, GPS points or math in this hunt. There is flexibility with your start & end times though it is recommended to do a morning hunt for best results. Dont worry if you cannot make it to start at 9 am.
