Plaza Italia, a small perk located in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, was originally built in 1898 and named Plaza de los Portones, or Plaza of the Big Gates. In 1909, the city of Buenos Aires renamed it Plaza Italia after a statue of Italian general and politician Giuseppe Garibaldi was erected in the center of the plaza in 1904.

A small tile located on the northeast side of the park along Avenida Santa Fe commemorates another important moment in the history of Buenos Aires. In 1894, the city’s first electric tram departed from Plaza Italia, and the area remains a significant public transportation hub to this day.

Rollin is designed to provide you a truly different experience. Our goal is to enjoy the amazing feeling of driving a premium electric scooter and get to know the city with guides prepared to explain not only the monument they are visiting, but how it is linked to the most important aspects of Argentina (sports, religion, economy , politics). We offer a more pleasant experience (much more!) than a prewritten and finished script: we understand the particularities of each group and we know you hate a guide who spitt the Wikipedia page on you.

Customizable Food Tour of Palermo Viejo

Customizable Food Tour of Palermo Viejo

star-5
37
On this 5 to 6-hour customizable exploration, you will discover Palermo Viejo’s culinary secrets while enjoying its food, history, and vibrant art. We start with what used to be the doorway to Buenos Aires, after a short typical Porteño breakfast. The city’s parks and tree-lined boulevards were first inspired and planned from this area, and that curiously enough is home to one of the continent’s oldest monuments. You will sample Argentina’s famous steak in a non-touristy location, as well as relish the emblematic Argentine sandwich along with a variety of local favorite appetizers and snacks. One of our food stops has a craft beer option, and we can also add a wine tasting, if you like, in the middle of all of that food. While walking from one place to the next we will have some time to admire local street art. This is a tour that you experience with all of your senses and you will enjoy plenty of picture taking opportunities.

Discovering... Palermo!

Discovering... Palermo!

I am passionate about discovering history, in the same place that happened. For that I travel Buenos Aires, observe, read and study old photos. And then I prepare a guided tour! I studied theater 4 years with Carolina Adamovsky, I did a 4 month course "Guided Visit: conceptual framework, planning and guidance techniques" by Roberto García Coni (Centro Cultural Rojas, 2018) and another 4 month course "Barrios de Buenos Aires" dictated also by Roberto García Coni (2018). Argentine history is exciting, and I would love to share it with others!! Welcome to BA!
