While buying we learn how, when and why the different ingredients came to Colombia and their historical contexts. We learn about the contribution and influences of pre-Columbian American, European, African and Arab cooking to the typical meal of Barranquilla. As guests of honor in the home of a Barranquilla family, we will learn first-hand how to prepare a good Caribbean dish.
