De Koninck Antwerp City Brewery Tours and Activities

Immerse yourself in the art and science of Belgian beer manufacturing at Antwerp’s De Koninck brewery. Take a stroll over the pedestrian bridge that looks down over the brewing hall—and don’t forget to taste some of the finished product.
The Basics
Dating back to 1833, De Koninck features 10 rooms in total, with interactive displays that showcase the brewery’s history and processes. End up at the tasting room and enjoy a few samples, or sign up for a private tasting that includes cheese and chocolate pairings. To save time at the entrance, book your ticket in advance, or visit as part of a guided beer tour.
Things to Know Before You Go
How to Get There
De Koninck is situated across from the southeastern corner of Koning Albertpark, about a half-hour walk or 12-minute bus or tram ride from Antwerp’s Central Station. The nearest tram stops are Berchem De Merode (on lines 7 and 15) and Antwerpen Harmonie (on lines 2 and 6).
When to Get There
De Koninck is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 6pm—last entry is at 4:30pm. To avoid crowds, go on a weekday morning.
What’s on Tap?
Unlike many breweries, which often have many varieties of beer, De Koninck keeps it simple, with just a few beers in production. The flagship brew is the Bolleke De Koninck, an amber-hued pale ale served in a rounded glass. Also on tap are the Tripel d'Anvers, a strong, blonde beer; a wild ale (Wild Jo); and a dry spiced beer called Lost in Spice.
