This is the ideal day-tour for those who love culture and nature. We will leave Antigua at 6 in the morning and drive for 1:50hrs to visit the beautiful Los Tarrales Natural Reserve. This 1,300-hectare private reserve is located right at Atitlan´s volcano slope. In its extension, experts have counted more than 350 species of birds reside. During our morning visit, you will also enjoy miles of trails with coffee bushes, ornamental plants, jungle and water springs. For lunchtime, we will visit the charming Mayan Village of San Lucas Toliman. Before to take our shuttle back to Antigua, don´t forget to interact with the locals right at lake Atitlan´s shore and check out their products and handicrafts. An incredible view of the Pacaya volcano with 2,500 meters high, on the way to the ascent we can observe flora and fauna of the area, views of the different volcanoes that make an unforgettable experience, you walk on petrified lava and if it is possible to see lava rivers . It is an incredible adventure that you should not miss in Guatemala.

 7 people minimum for this tour to start. We start climbing from the base town, take public transportation or arrange with us transportation when available (not included in this specific tour rate.)  We will make several stops, so you will acclimatise to the altitudes. You must be an active person for this activity, and we assume that your doctor approved you for climbing these altitudes(~3700 meters/ 12140 ft.to the summit.) We remain at the sight view area or at the summit as long as we get enough time to descend. Back to the base, in Antigua.
