The Basics

While here, take a dip in the cascades and meander through the beautiful park along rustic shaded trails. Most full-day and multi-day tours include these delightful falls as a refreshing break from visiting sun-kissed archaeological sites such as the Roman ruins of Perge, the Greco-Roman ruins of Side, and the Aspendos Theater in Serik.

Many tours include a relaxing three-course lunch at the edge of the nearby Eurymedon river. If you are looking for an even more active nature adventure, go off-road on a quad safari, investigating otherwise hidden spots and panoramas.

5 in 1: THE BEST OF ANTALYA region: Perge, Aspendos, Side, Kursunlu Waterfall
Tour was great. Lots of great history. Perge was amazing because you can see the layout of how the cities looked. Each site was really magical. The waterfall was beautiful and peaceful. Aspendos theater was magnificent and our guide told us about the layout and a story about the man who built it. We got some free time, about 15/20 mins to explore on our own. The aquaducts were grandiose and amazing architecture to see. Side was really cool to see a modern city atop the ancient one. They are excavating more and the have view platforms under your feet. Apollo's temple was looking over the water with athena's just to the right. Great tour if you love ancient history. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. He answered a lot of my questions before I even had to ask. He also informed us of life today in Turkey which was really helpful. Being able to see so many sites in a day and getting in depth information was also really nice rather than just super basic information. The pickup and drop off were on time and the ride was really nice, comfortable and clean. There is some walking involved, which I loved. I recommend comfortable shoes and water. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a another long but lovely tour with our guide Genghis, who escorted us thorough all the sights and then given free time to explore the attractions. The tour was conducted with historical explanations as well as a sense of humour.

The tour guide is nice gentlemen who can speak good English and is knowledgeable, able to answer all of our questions. It is just that the time alloted to Side is a bit rushed. Overall it was good.

This tour was WONDERFUL. They confirmed with us and made sure we knew all the details of the trip. We were picked up on time by a very nice gentleman who was our English speaking tour guide. The tour locations were fabulous and our guide appeared to be a history buff making sure all of our questions were answered. The bus driver was also nice and accommodating. The tour guide was patient and kind and had a great sense of humor. It was a long day but DEFINITELY worth every penny. Don't miss this tour if you are in Antalya! It's a great one!!!

By FAR the best trip of our holiday. Our guide spoke very good English and was so knowledgeable on every site visited. It's a lot packed into one day and it was a shame we didn't have longer in each place, but I would still very much recommend this. The reasonably comfortable, air-conditioned bus was also a bonus compared to some other trips. At this time of year end of September, the waterfalls were a bit of a disappointment, but it was still a nice wee walk down to the bigger ones and round by the small ones.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Suitable for nature lovers of all ages.
  • A pricey cafe is by the entrance, though it’s recommended to bring a snack and enjoy it by the falls or along the river.
  • Remember swimwear, sun protection, and water.
  • The stone pathway to the falls can get rocky, so bring appropriate footwear.
  • Most tours that include a trip to the waterfalls are wheelchair-accessible, however the falls are not.

How to Get There

Kursunlu Falls are about 12 miles (19 kilometers) northwest of Antalya along the Antalya-Alanya highway. Expect about 20 minutes on the road. It is best to drive or take a taxi since the bus route has at least two connections and is time consuming. Free parking is available on-site.

When to Get There

The falls are considerably smaller during the hot summer months (July through August). Come in the fall when they are at their most grand, the weather is still warm, and the crowds have left, or in the spring (especially May) when the flowers are in bloom. To beat the crowds, come in the early morning or late afternoon.

Wildcard

The Ruins of Perge South of the falls, just past Antalya, is Perge—one of the most significant archaeological sites in the country. Dating to the Bronze Age, the city was settled by the Hittites circa 1500 BC, but it wasn’t until the Romans came that the metropolis evolved into the most beautiful in the ancient world. Excavations have uncovered a spectacular theater, a sprawling 12,000-capacity stadium, an agora, an important fountain dedicated to nymphs, and more.
