Nevidio Canyon - Montenegro

Nevidio Canyon - Montenegro

Nevidio Canyon is located in the central part of Montenegro at the foothill of Durmitor in Dobri Do, 55 km away from Nik┼íi─ç. The length of the canyon is 3.5 km, the height 350 - 400 m; depth of 0.5 - 25m. The entrance to the canyon is at 935 m while the exit is at 810 m above sea level. The width is at least one meter in individual places, so some parts can only be passed with the alpine equipment. Due to vertical rocks, the sun's rays canÔÇÖt reach the bottom, so the greater part of the canyon is in the eternal shadow. The name of Nevidio speaks of his mystery, because some parts do not even see the sky. He is known as the last conquered canyon - in 1965, until that time he had been "Not seen". It is one of the most impassable canyons in Europe. Today, he undoubtedly represents a unique attraction, and the unrepeatable cruel beauty that he kepts is a sufficient reason to visit this incredible jewel of Montenegro.
